Before you stay in your PJs all day...

Perhaps you have already heard the announcement that Punxsutawney Phil calls for another six weeks of white stuff and generally low temperatures; by the looks of our campus, Phil is spot on. The news is calling for more snow this week, especially this weekend. What does that mean for Southern Virginia students, faculty and staff?

  1.      BE SAFE. Keep driving to a minimum, bundle up and have a plan in case we temporarily lose electricity.

2.      For those of you who anxiously check the blog/website for closure information please know that we will only post announcements if there WILL be changes to our operating schedule. If you don’t see anything on the website/blog that means “business as usual.”

3.      Enjoy! We are not used to snow like this in these parts so take advantage of it! Go for a walk outside. Find a safe sledding spot. Make a snowman. Take a lot of pictures. You may even want to post them to prove that yes, we do get snow in the south, sometimes.
